A Letter from the Project Director
Dear Friends,
Actors' Shakespeare Project's education programs work with youth, teachers and adults throughout Greater Boston to explore the vast, powerful and giddy terrain of Shakespeare’s language and characters. ASP’s resident acting company and teaching artists work in Department of Youth Services facilities, schools, senior citizen housing, colleges and universities and with a broad range of community partners to explore Shakespeare’s robust language in our voice and body through ensemble work, scene work, writing, stage combat and more. We work with groups of every imaginable size. We are committed to bringing our full selves forward and believe the world of Shakespeare’s plays compel us to act from ourselves and not in spite of ourselves.
Learn about our work with incarcerated youth, summer teacher institute, artist residencies in schools, workshops, and after-school programs here. Peruse our curriculum and find out about education projects. And check out the work of some our dedicated partners, like Haley House and Veterans Upward Bound. Drop by a free open rehearsal for a peek at our process. We are excited to meet you.
